The publication contains the presentations of an international scientific conference dedicated to the everyday life of Hanseatic cities, which took place in Tallinn in October 2019. The articles are in English or German, with summaries in Estonian. At the conference organized by the Estonian History Museum, the material culture of the Hanseatic cities by the Baltic Sea and the Hanseatic office in Novgorod in the period 13-16. century.
Archaeologists, medievalists, art historians and other experts from Lübeck, Novgorod, Riga, Tartu and Tallinn presented the latest research results. The articles deal with the narrower aspects of everyday culture, material material, consumption habits, entertainment and architecture. With the publication of this booklet, we are pleased to make the results of the conference available to a wider audience.
